Beginner Bondage Tips

BDSM for Beginners

The term BDSM was coined in the early 1970’s representing a variety of sexual practices involving

dominance and submission, bondage, sadism and masochism. The ‘BD’ in BDSM represents bondage

and discipline, the ‘DS’ representing dominance and submission and the ‘SM’ representing sadism and

masochism. BDSM involves plenty of non-normative sexual practices which entirely depend on the

chemistry between the participants. Some of the popular BDSM practices are body modifications, cross

dressing, animal playing or even includes latex aficionados.

Involving in sexual practices which are considered much different from the normal are often a good way

to spice up your sex life. It can mean a healthy sex in your marriage, if and only if, you and your partner

are both interested in exploring uncharted terrains.

Here are some tips for beginners in BDSM:

Communicate with your partner

It is absolutely necessary to communicate with your partner. Understand your partner’s needs and

desires. You may be interested in a particular activity but your partner might have interests in another. It

always helps if you talk it through. Understanding and having a chemistry is the key to BDSM.

Participating without sufficient interest can ruin the experience.

Start humble

Take steps little by little. Start with trying out something different than the normal sex. As you get

comfortable with those practices, ease into more complicated stuff. It could be a tad bit bothersome in

the beginning, but as you try it more and more, it will start coming to you as a breeze.

Explore your fantasies

Not every sexual practice is everyone’s cup of tea. Think about what kind of practice will make you

satisfied. See which one of it are you comfortable with. If this is something you are not able to figure out

by yourself, then try practicing it with your partner very gently. Playing it to your fantasies will make the

activity tenfold interesting.

Set boundaries for everything

It is very important to have boundaries for everything. During the heat of the moment, you never know

what one might do to you or you might do to one. So, it is absolutely necessary to have boundaries set

prior to your engagement in such activities. If you have a clear understanding of what activities are

being performed and how far can they go, you will be able to enjoy the act rather than worry about

other premonitions.

Trust your partner

It is definitely a must to trust your partner. Before getting into acts of BDSM, you must absolutely sure

that your partner will not do something you haven’t mutually agreed upon. The trust element is the

base of BDSM activities. Trust your partner and any type of sexual experience can be fun.
